Method 1: Just Plug It In

Controllable uses GLFW as it's input library, which supports XInput and DirectInput devices. So simply connect your controller to your system and it may work without any extra steps!

If you're running macOS, updating to Ventura is recommended.

If Steam is running on your system, make sure it's closed or ensure the configuration is disabled for your controller. Follow this guide if you are not sure.

Pros

  • No additional software needed

Cons

  • Limited support for controllers. This varies depending on your OS, drivers, and connection type.

  • Mappings may be incorrect. If this a problem, you may have to manually updating mappings.

Installation

Nothing. Just connect your controller, launch Minecraft with Controllable installed and you are ready to play!
